About the work
Formas Organicas means "organic forms" in Spanish. A milky white mist covers most of the canvas. Through it appear faint washes of blue, peach and yellow, thin scribbled lines in dark ink, and smudges of grey that suggest shapes without settling into them. Two small translucent circles float in the lower half and near the top right.
Mist recurs throughout Orgánico, and here it almost fills the surface.
About the series
“I am interested in things that are alive, organic and continuously changing: structures that do not remain still, but grow, shift and transform.”
Ima Montoya, artist statement, 2026
