About the work
El Sueño is Spanish for "the dream". A single mountain, hazy and blue-grey, rises from the horizon, with thin orange lines running down its slopes. Cobalt fills the sky above it. Below, the sea darkens to ultramarine, and quick white strokes trace the ripples across the lower half. Long drips run down from the horizon into the water.
Agua is a series of intense blues, and here they fill the whole canvas.
About the series
“Water has been with us from the beginning; we are water in motion. Its stillness is not absence, but attention.”
