About the work
Itsasoa is Basque for “the sea”. On a deep, even blue, a large form rises from the lower centre and widens towards the top. It is built from many tiny pale rings that catch the light, folding over itself like something moving under the surface.
In Agua, water has no fixed form. Here it appears as one shifting mass in intense blue.
