About the work
Cobalt blue fills the canvas, broken into soft horizontal ripples like light on water. Small textured clusters of brown, ochre and grey sit on the surface or just below it, with a few bubble-like rings among them.
Agua turns to seabeds, waves and moving water, painted in intense blues. In this square canvas the surface and the depths seem to sit in the same plane.
About the series
“Water has been with us from the beginning; we are water in motion. Its stillness is not absence, but attention.”
