About the work
In Basque, gorri means "red". Crimson, rust and hot pink fill the whole canvas, darkening to near black at the corners. Small pale figures rise through it, sparse at the base and denser in a bright burst at the centre. Pale blue and white circles hang among them, some trailing thin vertical lines.
This is the bold red that Like a Rolling Stone moved toward, with the crowd lifting upward through it.
