About the work
A golden ochre ground fills this tall canvas. Figures, seen from above, are sparse at the top and gather into a thick crowd along the lower edge, with a looser group rising through the centre. Three black bulls run among them. Pale translucent circles hold single figures, and soft blue marks drift across the upper half.
The upward pull of Like a Rolling Stone is clear here, as the crowd thins out on its way to the top.
