About the work
A dense crowd of small figures in white, yellow and blue fills the tall canvas, seen from above against a cloudy ground of brown, gold and lilac. Pale blue and white circles sit among the bodies, and a few thin horizontal lines cross the surface.
Torino is the Italian name for Turin. The crowd runs from top to bottom without a break, and the vertical format carries it upward, in the ascending movement of Like a Rolling Stone.
About the series
“Movement, interconnected bodies, human structures that somehow make the spectator part of it. I work with layers of colour, like skin, looking for depth and almost always with ascendant movement.”
