About the work
Memoria means "memory" in Spanish. A wide band of ochre and umber fills the middle of the canvas, dragged downward in long vertical strokes so the small figures within it blur and drip. Pale circles float across the surface, a few with a dot of colour at their centre, and tiny touches of blue, pink and violet catch the eye. Above, the colour thins into misty grey and cream.
The palette is warmer than most of Luces y Sombras, and the light comes through as haze.
