About the work
Hondartza is Basque for "beach". A deep blue sea with white surf fills the top of the canvas, and below it a wide stretch of sand fades from gold to grey and pink. Small figures in white run in loose groups, two black bulls move among them, and thin rings and blue discs float across the scene.
The bulls of Like a Rolling Stone return here, where Poemas de Agua reaches the shore.
