“A rhythm that does not necessarily coincide with visible movement, but with the relationship between figures and territory, with the dynamism of water and plants.”
In Poemas de Agua ("water poems") the crowd begins to behave like water. Figures seen from above pool, divide and stream across the canvas, and in the later works they reach the shoreline, on beaches of sand and blue sea. The series is the bridge between the crowd paintings and the water series.
It was first shown at Art House Gallery in Tripoli in 2022 and at the Instituto Cervantes in Tunis in 2023, and works from it returned in Take Me to the River in Milan in 2024.
