About the work

Hundreds of small figures stream diagonally across a field of washed blues, greys and pale yellow, gathering in dense clusters and thinning out again, punctuated by translucent blue circles and fine, seed-like bursts. Seen from above, the crowd behaves like water: it pools, divides and flows on.

Painted in Barcelona in 2022, the work toured with the Poemas de Agua exhibition to Art House Gallery in Tripoli and the Instituto Cervantes in Tunis.

About the series

“A rhythm that does not necessarily coincide with visible movement, but with the relationship between figures and territory, with the dynamism of water and plants.”

Raffaella De Chirico, gallerist, catalogue essay, 2026
