About the work

From above, a crowd of small figures fills a beach of gold and ochre, gathered in streams that run up toward the sea. At the shoreline the sand gives way to turquoise and deep blue. Figures out in the water sit inside pale blue rings, and two small boats float near the top edge.

Poemas de Agua links the crowd to the water, and here the two meet at the waterline. It was shown in Tripoli in 2022 and at the Instituto Cervantes in Tunis in 2023.
