About the work
Streams of figures branch across an ochre ground like rivers on a map, splitting and rejoining as they cross the canvas. Patches of plum and dark umber pool between them. Near the top the ground turns blue-green, and figures there sit inside bright blue rings. Small turquoise discs, mottled like globes, appear among the groups.
The crowd behaves like water in Poemas de Agua, flowing in channels from one edge to the other.
About the series
“A rhythm that does not necessarily coincide with visible movement, but with the relationship between figures and territory, with the dynamism of water and plants.”
Raffaella De Chirico, gallerist, catalogue essay, 2026
