About the work
Small figures, seen from above, stream across a ground of cream, gold and ochre, with touches of rust and violet where the crowd is thickest. They gather in a broad band from the lower left towards the upper corners, thinning out into the pale top. Translucent circles and a few small black shapes sit among them.
Poemas de Agua treats the crowd as water. Here the figures flow and spread like a current.
About the series
“A rhythm that does not necessarily coincide with visible movement, but with the relationship between figures and territory, with the dynamism of water and plants.”
Raffaella De Chirico, gallerist, catalogue essay, 2026
