About the work
Poemas de Agua means "water poems". Countless tiny figures, dark with pale heads, fill a golden ochre ground in drifting bands. Two blue rings hang near the top, pale blue discs sit within the mass, and short horizontal streaks of blue and white cut across the lower half.
From the first year of the series, the crowd here already behaves like water, spreading and pooling across the canvas.
About the series
“A rhythm that does not necessarily coincide with visible movement, but with the relationship between figures and territory, with the dynamism of water and plants.”
Raffaella De Chirico, gallerist, catalogue essay, 2026
