About the work
Figures in white gather into a loose diagonal stream that runs from the lower left towards the centre, while smaller groups break away towards the edges. The ground is a washed mix of ochre, grey and pale blue, with red scratches at the upper right. Large pale discs sit over some of the figures like drops.
The crowd flows and pools as water does, which is the idea behind Poemas de Agua.
About the series
“A rhythm that does not necessarily coincide with visible movement, but with the relationship between figures and territory, with the dynamism of water and plants.”
Raffaella De Chirico, gallerist, catalogue essay, 2026
